On this date in 1999 the movie The Matrix was released, spawning a trilogy of influential sci-fi/action films. And in the movie the protagonist is presented with a choice of remaining in the safe/false life he'd always known, or to experience life as it really is: "This is your last chance. After this, there is no turning back. You take the blue pill - the story ends, you wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe.
