Holidays 2021-06-03

Holidays today are about doing things repeatedly, insect repellent, the power of love, eggs as food, moonshine, chocolate macaroon, a classic baseball poem, and an Andes mountain:

Today is Repeat Repeat Repeat Repeat Day.

It's one thing to like insects in general, but biting arthropods (ticks aren't insects) can spread disease, and using insect repellent is prudent for many of us.

Although Mount Everest is the highest peak above sea level, the Earth bulges a little bit around the equator. Because of this, sea level is a little higher around the equator, and so Chimborazo, a mountain in the Andes, is the mountain that's furthest from the center of the Earth.
